The JetAudio iAudio U2 from Cowon is a 1GB solid state flash memory MP3 player. It is compact, has a nice metallic effect finish in red, blue and black and weighs about an ounce. There is a built in FM tuner, voice recording and direct line in to record from an external source such as a cassette player.
There is a 4 line LCD display with a blue backlight with support to display lyrics. Audio formats supported include MP3, WMA, ASF and WAV. The lithium polymer battery claims to be able to provide 20 hours of playback but review have suggested this is closer to 15 hours in reality. The iAudio U2 can be connected to your Apple macintosh or Windows PC via USB 2.0 and you are able to transfer data files without drivers for XP users.
Control of the player is via a thumb type joystick and reviews have said that the U2 is easy to operate straight out of the box. The only downside seems to be that the supplied ear buds are not up to much.
