mp3 hardware review

Inovix IMP65 256MB

It's always niche to have a small cheap MP3 player for jogging or taking to work. Basically a small rugged player the is so cheap it doesn't matter if you lose it. The IMP65-256 from Inovix will do the job

Inovix IMP65 256MBThe Inovix IMP65 supports MP3 and WMA and also WAV files so you can store a couple or so albums on its 256MB internal memory depending on file sizes.

The display is small but large enough to see what you are playing and also has a blue backlit display. The controls are basic and easy to use so it's the sort of player where a manual is not needed. The player itself plugs into the USB port and Windows computers will detect it straight away, no software to load. Its just a case of dragging and dropping files from the desktop. Additional drivers are required for Mac and Linux.

The IMP65 is powered by a single AAA battery as are other players of this ilk. I'd recommend you get high power rechargeable batteries to save your self some cash in the long term. Battery life claims to be 10 hours but assume that is with decent batteries.
