The iPod shuffle is the 512MB solid state MP3 player from Apple. It's older brother comes with 1GB of memory and is known as the M9725LL/A. The shuffle gets its name from its ability to randomize the order songs are played so you get a different play list every time.
The shuffle is small and slim so it will easily fit in your pocket without leaving an unsightly bulge. This player is one of the few that support AAC files, MP3 and WAV files are also supported. Battery life is 12 hours and it takes about 4 hours to charge the battery.
No doubt being from the Apple iPod stable the shuffle is popular. Reviews have praised its small size and lightness. On the downside there is no LCD screen to see what track is playing or to select tracks. This means the only way to navigate through songs is to skip through them.
